The Severino and Paz Koh Lectureship Awards in Science and Engineering are presented annually by the Philippine-American Academy of Science and Engineering (PAASE) to honor PAASE co-founder Dr. Severino Koh and his wife Paz, for their commitment and long-term support of PAASE. The award recognizes the meritorious achievements and outstanding contributions of Philippine-born individuals based in the Philippines and in the United States, in the fields of Science and Engineering.
This year’s recipient of the Lectureship Award in Science is Dr. Edsel A. Peña, Professor, University of South Carolina. Dr. Joey D. Ocon, Professor, University of the Philippines Diliman is this year’s recipient of the Lectureship Award in Engineering.
The Selection Committee composed of Dr. Rosalia CM Simmen (Chair), Dr. Ann Villalobos, and Dr. Anthony Shun Fung Chiu congratulate this year’s winners and applaud all other nominees for their equally impressive accomplishments.
